Miso-Glazed Nuts

Toss shelf-stable nuts in miso paste and bake for a rich umami crunch.

Crispy Polenta Fries with Aioli – Prepare instant polenta, slice into fries, and serve with a garlic mayo packet.

  • 1 cup mixed unsalted nuts (cashews, almonds, peanuts)

  • 2 tbsp white miso paste

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey

  • ½ tsp soy sauce

  • ¼ tsp chili flakes (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Preheat oven to 275°F (135°C).

  3. Toast the nuts: Spread them on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.

  4. Prepare the glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together miso, sesame oil, maple syrup, soy sauce, and chili flakes.

  5. Coat the nuts: Remove nuts from the oven, toss them in the miso mixture, and spread them back onto the baking sheet.

  6. Bake again: Return to the oven for 10-15 minutes, stirring halfway through.

  7. Cool & enjoy: Let them cool completely before serving.
