Black Garlic & Brie Crostini

Spread shelf-stable Brie on toasted bread and top with jarred black garlic.

  • 1 French baguette, sliced

  • 6 oz Brie cheese, room temperature

  • 4 cloves black garlic, mashed into a paste

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • Fresh thyme, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Toast the bread: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and toast for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.

  2. Prepare the Brie: Spread a generous layer of Brie on each toasted slice.

  3. Add the black garlic: Spoon a small amount of mashed black garlic over the Brie.

  4. Bake briefly: Return crostini to the oven for 2-3 minutes to slightly warm the Brie.

  5. Season & serve: Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and fresh thyme if desired. Serve warm.
