Tuna Tartare on Crostini

Finely chop canned tuna with olive oil, capers, and lemon juice, served on toasted bread.

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of high-quality tuna, drained

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp capers, finely chopped

  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

  • ½ tsp Dijon mustard (for a bit of depth)

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley (or chives)

  • Sliced baguette, toasted

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, finely chop the tuna and mix with olive oil, capers, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper.

  2. Stir in the fresh herbs for added freshness.

  3. Toast the baguette slices until golden brown.

  4. Spoon the tuna mixture onto each crostini.

  5. Garnish with extra parsley or a touch of lemon zest.

  6. Enjoy as a light snack or a refined appetizer! You could even add a dollop of crème fraîche or avocado for some creamy contrast. Would love to know if you try it!
